21 Harmed In Walkway Breakdown At Ocean side Park In Texas

Texas: Five teens were carried to an emergency clinic and 16 others were likewise harmed when portion of a raised walkway fell on Thursday at a recreation area in Surfside Ocean side, Texas, city authorities said, New York Times detailed.
None of the young people supported perilous wounds, the city authorities said.

The youngsters, matured 14 to 18, were visiting from Cypress and Tomball, outside Houston, and Spring Branch, outside San Antonio. They were there as a feature of a day camp show to the Narrows City Partnership, city authorities said in a news discharge, New York Times detailed.

Authorities said that the breakdown happened at around 1 pm (nearby time) at Stahlman Park, a coastline diversion region with admittance to the ocean side and perspectives on the Inlet of Mexico. The waterfront local area of Surfside Ocean side is around 60 miles south of Houston.

“The reason for the occurrence is still being scrutinized,” city authorities said in a proclamation, New York Times detailed.

Five youngsters were transported to Commemoration Hermann Medical clinic in Houston, the city said. Six of the teens were taken to neighborhood clinics by rescue vehicle, and around 10 others were taken by confidential vehicle.
