Akshay Kumar, who on Sunday announced on social media that he had tested positive for coronavirus, has now been hospitalised. According to reports, the actor was admitted to Mumbai’s Hiranandani hospital at around 5 pm on Sunday. Today, Akshay Kumar wrote that as a precautionary measure, under medical advice, he has been hospitalised.
AKSHAY KUMAR IN HOSPITAL
Hours after announcing on social media about his Covid-19 diagnosis, he was admitted to the Hiranandani Hospital in Powai. The actor took to social media to confirm the news. He wrote, “Thank you, everyone, for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care (sic).”
AKSHAY KUMAR TESTS POSITIVE FOR CORONAVIRUS
Akshay Kumar shared a note on Instagram that reads, “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care of. Back in action very soon (sic).”
OTHER ACTORS WHO TESTED COVID POSITIVE RECENTLY
Many Bollywood actors have tested positive in the second wave of the novel coronavirus pandemic. From Alia Bhatt to Ranbir Kapoor, celebrities contracted the virus and took a break from work. Hours after Akshay Kumar announced his Covid diagnosis, Govinda’s wife also revealed that the actor is Covid positive and is in-home quarantine.
Other celebrities who tested Covid positive in the second wave of the deadly pandemic in India include Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Manoj Bajpayee, Paresh Rawal, Tara Sutaria, R Madhavan, Sidhant Chaturvedi, Satish Kaushik and Bappi Lahiri.
