Cristiano Ronaldo had a chance to level in stoppage time but was saved by Marcelo Grohe. The Portuguese legend’s frustration was evident as he cut a frustrated figure.

Al Nassr suffered a damaging defeat on Thursday, losing 1-0 to Saudi Pro League title rivals Al Ittihad. They had been unbeaten in five games since Cristiano Ronaldo moved to the Saudi side in February.

In a first half that lacked real quality, both teams had chances. But Al Ittihad broke the deadlock with ten minutes to go, Romarinho scoring after Ahmed Mohammed Sharahili’s lung-busting run forward.

Al Nassr will fight against Abha in the quarter-finals on the 18th of March. Abha football club is a professional Saudi club that plays in the top tier of domestic football. They have won multiple championships in their history, including the first division title. Al Nassr will have another match on the 5th of April with Al-Adalah in the Saudi Pro League 2023.

Another strong player in the team is Ghislain N’Clomande Konan. He was born in Cote d’Ivoire and played for Vitoria de Guimaraes before he made the move to France. He has already made 7 appearances for Al Nassr. He has also represented his country in international competitions.
