Australia In Talks With Japan, India On Quad Meet After Biden Drops Visit

Sydney: Australian Top state leader Anthony Albanese said on Wednesday his administration was in converses with the heads of the state of Japan and India after U.S. President Joe Biden delayed his outing to Australia to go to a Quad chiefs’ gathering.
President Joe Biden has dropped the visit, the second leg of his impending Asia trip, because of the emergency working over the U.S. obligation roof and will get back to Washington following the G7 culmination in Japan this week.
“The President and I concurred that we would attempt to reschedule his visit to Australia at the earliest open door,” Albanese said in an explanation.
Albanese was wanting to have President Biden, Indian Head of the state Narendra Modi and Japanese State head Fumio Kishida in Sydney on May 24.
