Chopper Conveying Karnataka Congress Boss Makes Crisis Landing

Congress’ Karnataka unit president DK Shivakumar’s helicopter made a crisis arrival at the HAL air terminal after a kite hit the glass of the cockpit on Tuesday evening.
The Congress chief was en route to Mulbagal in Kolar region to go to a public gathering.

The chopper flew from Jakkur air terminal in Bengaluru however was hit by a kite, sources near Mr Shivakumar told PTI.

In the effect of the accident, the glass broke into pieces. The chopper needed to make a crisis arrival at the HAL air terminal.

Alongside DK Shivakumar and the pilot, a writer of a Kannada news channel who was talking with him was inside the helicopter.

Mr Shivakumar, the team and others in the helicopter are protected, they said.
