The Intern is a 2015 comedy-drama, which starred Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway in lead roles. The film was written and produced by Nancy Meyers. The film revolved around the story of a 70-year-old man (De Niro), who becomes a senior intern at an online fashion website. Anne Hathaway, who plays the role of the company’s CEO, forms an unlikely friendship with De Niro’s character. The film received mixed reviews.

Big B and Deepika Padukone have worked together in Shoojit Sircar’s 2015 film Piku. They played the role of a father and daughter in the film. The film is loosely based on the 1980 Bengali-language short film, Pikoo by Satyajit Ray. The script was written by Juhi Chaturvedi. Principal photography began in August 2014 and was wrapped up in December. Anupam Roy composed the soundtrack and score and wrote the lyrics. Their bonding was much appreciated by critics and the audience.
