Deepika Padukone has tested positive for Covid-19. Earlier today, her father was admitted to a Bengaluru hospital after he, his wife and daughter Anisha tested positive for the virus.

Deepika Padukone has tested positive for Covid-19. While the actress hasn’t posted any update about this, according to reports, she tested Covid positive on Tuesday (May 4). She is currently with her family in Bangalore.

Earlier in the day, Deepika’s father and ace badminton player Prakash Padukone was hospitalised after experiencing a prolonged fever. He, his wife and younger daughter Anisha are also Covid positives. Now, even Deepika has tested positive according to reports.

WHAT’S ON THE WORK FRONT?

Deepika Padukone has a host of films lined up. She will be seen sharing screen space with husband Ranveer Singh in 83. Ranveer is playing the role of Kapil Dev in the film while Deepika will be seen playing his wife Romi Dev. The actress has wrapped up the shooting of Shakun Batra’s yet-to-be-titled film with Siddhant Chaturvedi. Deepika will also be seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan. The actress also has Fighter with Hrithik Roshan and an untitled project with Prabhas lined up. Additionally, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan will reunite for the Indian adaptation of The Intern.

Deepika Padukone born 5 January 1986 is an Indian actress and producer who works in Hindi films. One of the highest-paid actresses in India, her accolades include three Filmfare Awards. She features in listings of the nation’s most popular personalities, and Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.

Padukone, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. As a teenager, she played badminton in national level championships but left her career in the sport to become a fashion model. She soon received offers for film roles and made her acting debut in 2006 as the title character of the Kannada film Aishwarya. Padukone then played a dual role opposite Shah Rukh Khan in her first Bollywood release, the romance Om Shanti Om (2007), which won her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Padukone received praise for her starring role in the romance Love Aaj Kal (2009), but this was followed by a brief setback.
