Unfortunately, Gigi Hadid’s tropical getaway did not go according to plan when she was arrested for marijuana possession on a girls’ trip to the Cayman Islands earlier this month. On July 10, when they arrived via private plane, IMG model and friend Leah McCarthy were stopped by customs officials at Owen Roberts International Airport, according to local publication Cayman Marl Road. Officials were reported to have recovered “ganja and related paraphernalia,” according to Customs & Border Control’s statement, in their luggage. At a court appearance on July 12, they were officially fined $1,000 Cayman Islands dollars without convictions being issued against them.
