India Ready To Help In Fight Against COVID-19, PM Modi Tells Israel, Brazil Leaders

Coronavirus In India LIVE Updates: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday told Israel and Brazil that India is ready to do whatever is possible to help its friends in the fight against the novel coronavirus after the leaders of the respective countries thanked him for the Hydroxychloroquine supply. India has entered the seventeenth day of its nationwide lockdown on Friday. The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in India escalated to reach an alarming figure of 6771 on Friday morning, while the number of those dead from the virus reached 228. Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, Principal Secretary Amitabh Gupta was sent on compulsory leave over granting travel permit to DHFL’s Wadhawan’s amid lockdown.

India Ready To Help Friends: Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday told Israel and Brazil that India is ready to do whatever is possible to help its friends in the fight against the novel coronavirus. Modi made the remarks after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro thanked New Delhi for allowing the export of anti-malarial drug hydroxychloroquine and the raw materials to produce it. The drug has been cited by many as a viable therapeutic solution to fight the coronavirus infection.
