IPL 2023: KL Rahul’s physical issue was a mishap, says Ravi Bishnoi

Lucknow Super Goliaths leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi said that the injury to KL Rahul and unfortunate shot choice has cost them the match against the Regal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Monday.

Lucknow experienced a brush when chief KL Rahul went off the field in torment in just the second over of the game while gripping his right thigh. Rahul didn’t show up again until the fall of his group’s 10th wicket. He confronted three balls yet couldn’t get off the imprint before Bangalore wrapped up a persuading win.

“It was a chasable score. Injury to KL Rahul was a mishap, we lost one hitter and afterward we played a couple of unfortunate shots too,” he told the columnists.

Bishnoi, who wrapped up with 2 for 21 conceded that it was a chasable all out on a low and slow pitch.

“127 was a chasable score on this wicket, yet we just had a terrible day with the bat. In any case, it was a decent wicket to bat on,” he said.

Two matches in succession when LSG has neglected to pursue a low all out on a precarious home track and Bishnoi said the playing conditions are not in their grasp.

“Now and then, you can’t change 130 on a decent surface. We should play on the given wicket, it isn’t in our grasp. We want to adjust and get along admirably,” he said.

“Out batting didn’t click so we were unable to pursue down aggregates in the last two matches at Lucknow.”

On Deepak Hooda’s absence of runs, Bishnoi said: “He is a decent player. He has done well for India and for us in the last season. He is having a very tough time and I’m certain he will return more grounded.”
