Jeetendra turns 79. Ekta Kapoor calls him the wind beneath her wings on birthday

Ekta Kapoor penned a note for her father Jeetendra on his 79th birthday. She also shared a montage video featuring pictures of the veteran actor with his family and friends.

Veteran actor Jeetendra is celebrating his 79th birthday today, April 7. To wish him on his special day, his daughter and producer Ekta Kapoor took to social media and shared a montage video of many photos of Jeetendra with his family and friends. Ekta also penned a short note for her father.


Ekta Kapoor shared a montage video of old photos of Jeetendra with his family and friends. She wrote, “Happie bday papa! U r d wind beneath My wings!!! U helped me grow n supported me when I chose to b a producer! Love is acceptance u taught me that! Love u (sic).”



Riteish Deshmukh also shared photos of himself with Jeetendra. Along with an animated picture of the veteran actor, Riteish shared two photos where he is seen with Jeetendra. Using Jeetendra’s popular song Mast Baharon Ka Main Aashiq as the caption she wrote, “Wishing the evergreen / eternal JeetuJi a very Happy Birthday. #happybirthdayjeetendra @ektarkapoor @TusshKapoor (sic).”


After working as an actor in Bollywood for more than 50 years, the actor is currently living a quiet life in Mumbai with his family. He loves to spend his time with his grandkids, Lakshya and Ravie. He often makes special appearances on TV shows and in films. The veteran actor is also the chairman of the Balaji Telefilms, Balaji Motion Pictures and ALT Entertainment.

He made his screen debut in 1964 with Geet Gaya Patharon Ne, who was popular in the 60s for his dancing skills. He starred in memorable films directed by Gulzar. Jeetendra became a huge sensation in the 80s when he starred in a string of hits, which were remakes of South films. His pairing with Sridevi and Jaya Prada was loved by his fans.
