Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said he will be sharing a message with the nation at 6 pm on Tuesday.

PM Modi made the announcement in a tweet. “Will be sharing a message with my fellow citizens at 6 pm this evening,” PM Modi wrote on Twitter.

While PM Modi did not specify but experts speculate that PM’s address could be on the coronavirus situation in the country view as the festival season approaches.

India on Tuesday reported less than 50,000 coronavirus cases after over two months. India on Tuesday added 46,791 fresh coronavirus cases to the total tally, taking the Covid-19 caseload in the country to just over 75.97 lakh, according to the data released by the health ministry.

Active cases of Covid-19 in India are now less than 10 per cent of the total caseload, while the number of people who have recuperated from the disease has crossed 67 lakh pushing the national recovery rate to 88.63 per cent, the Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday.

Earlier, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said his request to everyone to celebrate festivals at home with their loved ones in the traditional way to ward off the risk of Covid-19 infection.

“This festive season, the charity must take precedence over celebrations,” the health minister said during an interaction with his social media followers on the sixth episode ‘Sunday Samvaad’.

“My own celebrations too shall remain subdued due to the heart-rending impact of COVID-19 on lakhs of corona warriors across the world battling for us,” the minister stated.
