Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress Ambika gets first dose of Covid-19 vaccine

Ambika aka Mrs Hathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently informed her fans that she took the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. The actress thanked the Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Corporation (BMC) for a smooth process.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actress, Ambika, recently took the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. She informed her fans about the same through a social media post. Ambika is popularly known as Mrs Haathi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The actress shared a picture of herself on Instagram getting a shot and thanked the Brihanmumbai Mahanagar Corporation (BMC) for a hassle-free process.


Ambika captioned her post, “And the 1st dose. Hardly any waiting time, superb management and arrangement. Thanks to @mybmchealthdept @my_bmc @prabha.kulkarni.50 #vaccinationdone #vaccine #selfcare #1stdosedone (sic).”

Ambika also posted a video of herself wearing a mask as she performs on Pankaj Udhas’s song Niklo Na Benaqab. The actress urged her fans to wear masks and be a responsible citizen. Ambika captioned her video, “Wear your mask and protect yourself as well as others. Be a responsible citizen. Cover your nose and mouth at all times when in public. Do your duty and #breakthechain (sic).”


Mandar Chandwadkar aka Bhide and Mayur Vakani aka Sundar Lal from Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah had earlier tested positive for the novel coronavirus. In an interview with IndiaToday.in, Mandar said that he was asymptomatic and had isolated himself. He was also taking all the necessary precautions. He has now tested negative. He had said, “My wife has also tested Covid positive, but she did not have many symptoms, so she is quarantined at home and is being treated there. I had to be admitted to the hospital because of more symptoms. However, I am much better now.”

Meanwhile, Mayur was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Ahmedabad, along with his wife. Mayur Vakani revealed that he was recovering and will soon be discharged from the hospital. He said, “Right now, my health is fine, and I might be discharged from hospital in one or two days. I will have to take a corona test and if the results are negative, I will get a discharge from the hospital. My health is improving and I feel much better now. ”


Apart from Ambika, Dilip Joshi, who plays the role of Jethalal on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, recently took to Instagram to inform his followers that he has received the Covid-19 vaccine. Other than them, TV actors such as Ram, Gautami Kapoor, Raghu Ram, Himani Shivpuri, Annup Sonii, Deepshikha Nagpal, Archana Puran Singh, Sachin Pilgaonkar and Vishal Dadlani have also taken their vaccines. People above the age of 45 are eligible for Covid-19 vaccine.


Several TV actors tested positive for the novel coronavirus recently including Apna Time Bhi Aayega lead actor Megha Ray, Ye Hain Chahatein lead Abrar Qazi and Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha fame Narayani Shastri, Aditya Narayan and Shweta Agarwal, Mishkat Verma, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’s Kanchi Singh, Ankit Siwach, Namak Issk Ka actress Monalisa, Anupamaa actors Rupali Ganguly and Aashish Mehrotra, and Aap Ke Aa Jane Se actor Karan Jotwani. Other names include Molki actors Toral Rasputra, Amar Upadhyay and Priyal Mahajan, Nikki Tamboli, Neil Bhatt, Manit Joura, Ariah Agarwal and Daljiet Kaur. TV producer Rajan Shahi also contracted the novel coronavirus disease recently.
