Tamil Nadu Lady Compelled To Eliminate Hijab, 6 Captured: Police

Vellore: Six people who constrained a lady to eliminate her hijab and videographed it when she was visiting the noteworthy Vellore Stronghold here prior this week were captured by the North Police here on Thursday, a senior police official said.
A 17-year old among the group that pressured the reluctant lady to eliminate her hijab was shipped off the public authority home, while the police captured and remanded the others, Imran Basha, 22, Ashraf Basha, 20, Mohammed Faizal, 23, Santhosh, 23, Ibrahim Basha, 24, and Prasanth, 20.

“The young people were generally autorickshaw drivers and they had designated something like three hijab-wearing ladies who were visiting the stronghold,” the authority said.

Declining to uncover further subtleties, Vellore Area Director of Police S Rajesh Kannan said the rationale behind the offense that occurred on Walk 27 was being examined. “People in general are mentioned not to share the recordings posted via virtual entertainment,” he said.
