Telugu actor Jaya Prakash Reddy dies at 74 in Andhra Pradesh

Popular Telugu actor Jaya Prakash Reddy died of a heart attack on Tuesday (September 8) morning at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.

Telugu actor Jaya Prakash Reddy, who was known for her comedy roles, died of a heart attack in the wee hours of Tuesday (September 8) at his residence in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He was 74 years old. As soon as the news broke, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and several other celebrities offered condolences to Jaya Prakash’s family.

Jaya Prakash Reddy did exceptional work as a character artist in several Telugu films. He was last seen in Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru, which released on January 11 during Sankranti.

Mahesh Babu took to Twitter to pay his last respects to Jaya Prakash Reddy. He wrote, “Saddened by the passing of #JayaPrakashReddy garu. One of TFI’s finest actor-comedians. Will always cherish the experience of working with him. Heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones (sic).”

Taking to Twitter, Jr NTR spoke highly of Jaya Prakash Reddy’s achievements. He wrote, “Rest in peace sir Jayaprakash Reddy Garu (sic).”

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued a condolence message. The statement reads, “AP Chief Minister Sri YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed grief over the death of popular character artiste Sri Jayaprakash Reddy, who created a special place for himself in film-land through his inimitable dialogue delivery and mannerisms. The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family members.”
