Sania Mirza got emotional as she bids adieu to tennis in Hyderabad.

Sania Mirza has a long and illustrious career in the world of tennis. She is known for her brilliant shots and mental strength. However, her journey has not been full of controversies. In January, she announced her retirement from professional tennis after a career that saw her win 43 WTA titles, including three women’s doubles Grand Slam trophies and as many mixed doubles titles. She also won 14 medals at three major multi-sport events: the Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Afro-Asian Games.

Sania Mirza is a world-renowned Indian Tennis Player. She is a former world number one, a three-time Grand Slam winner in women’s doubles, and a four-time winner in mixed doubles. She was born in Mumbai to Hyderabad based Muslim parents Imran Mirza, a sports journalist, and his wife, Naseema. They later moved to Hyderabad, 

Sania Mirza’s age is 36 years. She was born on 15 November 1986 in Mumbai, India, to Hyderbad-based Muslim parents Imran Mirza, a sports journalist, and his wife Naseema, where she and her younger sister Anam grew up in a religious Sunni Muslim family. She started playing tennis at the age of six and went professional in 2003.

Her singles career was a huge success, but Sania Mirza’s injury in 2008 forced her to give up on singles and concentrate only on doubles tournaments. She had an exceptional run in doubles, winning three WTA doubles slams and two WTA Finals titles.

Sania Mirza, the ace tennis player who has become India’s most accomplished sportswoman, has announced her retirement. She said the Australian Open and Dubai Open in February would be her last tournaments on the WTA tour.

India’s leading tennis star Sania Mirza bid farewell to her illustrious career at Hyderabad on Sunday. Sania Mirza, during her farewell, got emotional and bid adieu to her sports career with happy tears in Hyderabad, where she had started her journey almost two decades ago. 

A grand farewell bash was held in her honor, and several celebrities attended it, including Mahesh Babu, AR Rahman, and his wife Namrata Shirodkar was present. Union Law Minister Kiran Rijiju and former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin also attended the event. They congratulated Sania on her illustrious career and hailed her contributions to Indian and international tennis.

She played two exhibition matches – one with Rohan Bopanna and the other with Yuvraj Singh and her ‘best friend’ Bethanie Mettek Sands. She won both of them to the delight of her fans.

The couple married in 2010 and welcomed their son Izhaan Mirza Malik in October 2018. Sani Mirza and Shoaib Malik live in Dubai, and they are the most loved couple in Asia’s sports fraternity. 

However, rumors started circulating on social media about Sania Mirza’s divorce from Shoaib Malik after 12 years of marriage. The reason behind their rift is alleged that the Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib, cheated on Sania and had an extramarital affair with actress Ayesha Omar. While the cricketer denied the reports, it is rumored that he and Ayesha were seen in a bold photoshoot last year. The actress has been a big fan of the cricketer’s work and has even been featured in his films

According to reports, the duo is not able to announce their divorce as they have signed a few shows as a couple. These shows are supposed to be wrapped up before announcing their split. Earlier, they announced their new talk show, The Mirza Malik Show, for a Pakistan-based OTT platform.

The rumors about the separation have left their fans and media confused and sad.
