WhatsApp has been working on multiple to make the user experience better. The latest feature that WhatsApp is reportedly working on will let users choose the video quality before sending it to their contacts. WhatsApp has certain limitations when it comes to sending high-quality videos. The high-quality videos that are sent through WhatsApp are often compressed and sent as a document. This is where the messaging apps with RCS capabilities get an upper hand over WhatsApp because they clearly let users send high-quality videos.

WhatsApp is soon going to fix the issue for its users. Not being able to send a video captured in high-resolution might not be a pleasant thing. As per Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is now testing the feature to let users choose the video quality before passing it on to their contacts. The feature was spotted in the Android beta build.

Wabetainfo reveals that WhatsApp users will get three options to choose from before sending a video to their contacts. The first option is the Auto mode, which lets WhatsApp automatically detect the best compression algorithm for specific videos.

The second option that users can pick is the Best Quality. As the name suggests, when a user picks this option, WhatsApp will send the video in the best quality available. This means that if you have shot your video in high-res, WhatsApp will send the video in that specific mode.

The third option that will be given to the users is the Data Saver. When you pick this option, WhatsApp will compress videos before sending them. The WhatsApp features tracker reveals that the feature is currently under development, and it will be available in a future update.

Another feature that WhatsApp was spotted developing was real-time waveforms in voice messages. The WhatsApp features tracker reveals that WhatsApp will now start displaying real-time voice waveforms when you record a new voice message.

WhatsApp has temporarily enabled waveforms for voice messages. The real-time waveforms will start appearing when you record voice messages. The feature has been spotted in the WhatsApp beta version for Android, and it is currently under development.

“After releasing voice waveforms on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.13.17, WhatsApp has decided to pull out the feature, in order to add some fixes and improvements before the next activation. As you know, waveforms will replace the seek progress bar, but that’s not all: WhatsApp is developing another feature that uses voice waveforms! The feature has been spotted in a future WhatsApp update, so it’s not available yet for the public,” the Wabetainfo report read.
