Apple has launched a new Apple Store app in India, which will let you buy Apple products directly from the official Apple app. The app is available on the App Store for free.
“At Apple, our customer is at the centre of everything we do, and we are thrilled to introduce the Apple Store app to reach even more users in India, further deepening our connections,” said Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s head of Retail Online. “With the Apple Store app, customers will discover a new and seamless way to shop for all our incredible products, receive personalised support, and experience the best of Apple,” she added.
The Apple Store app also offers several user customizations in India. For instance, it has a products tab that allows users to explore Apple’s lineup of devices and accessories, learn about trade-in programs, and access financing options. A For You tab also shows tailored recommendations and a quick-access section for saved or favourited items.
There is also a Go Further tab on the app. What it does is: After a purchase, customers can connect with Apple Specialists for online Personal Setup sessions, access tips via short videos, or join Today at Apple sessions at local stores to unlock their devices’ full potential.
The app also brings Apple’s customisation features to India, allowing users to engrave devices such as AirPods, iPads, and Apple Pencils with names, initials, or emojis in various languages. Customers can also configure Macs with upgraded specifications or personalise their Apple Watch orders.
With the Apple Store app, Indian customers can choose between home delivery and in-store pickup, making it easier than ever to access Apple’s products.
The introduction of the Apple Store app came at a time when Apple was increasing its investments in the Indian market. Beyond its partnerships with authorised resellers and third-party retailers, Apple opened its first physical stores in Delhi and Mumbai in April 2023. In the press note, Apple has also confirmed that it will soon open new stores in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.
This digital expansion through the app signifies Apple’s intent to offer Indian consumers the same premium experience it offers in other countries. By combining personalised shopping, customisation options, and convenient delivery or pickup methods, Apple is setting new standards for customer engagement in India.
