Apple is making its entire streaming catalogue free worldwide for the first weekend of 2025, requiring only an Apple ID to access the service from January 3-5.
This promotion marks the first time Apple has offered full access to its streaming library without a subscription. Viewers can watch on any device with Apple TV+, including smart TVs, gaming consoles, and Apple devices.
Available content includes new seasons of “Silo,” “Shrinking,” and “Bad Sisters,” along with the upcoming second season of “Severance,” premiering January 17. The service’s library features Emmy-winning shows like “Ted Lasso” and “The Morning Show,” sci-fi series like “Dark Matter” and “Foundation,” plus recent films including “Fly Me to the Moon” and “The Family Plan.”
The move appears aimed at converting viewers into paid subscribers. Apple TV+ typically costs ₹99 monthly in India, offering access for up to six family members per subscription.
The service is available in over 100 countries across over 1 billion screens, including popular smart TV brands, streaming devices, and gaming consoles. New device purchasers can still qualify for Apple’s three-month free trial offer.
