Seoul: North Korea said on Tuesday it had sent off a Hwasong-18 intercontinental long range rocket (ICBM) on Monday as a drill to affirm the conflict preparation of its atomic prevention force even with mounting aggression by the US.
State news organization KCNA said the country’s chief Kim Jong Un watched the send off of the ICBM at the site. The rocket arrived at the height of 6,518 km (4,050 miles), flying 1,002 km (623 miles) and precisely raising a ruckus around town target, KCNA said.
Kim said the send off sends “a reasonable sign to the unfriendly powers, who have fanned up their wild military showdown panic” against the North consistently, KCNA said.
“Noticing that it was an event to plainly show what activity the DPRK has been arranged and what choice the DPRK would take when Washington pursues an off-base choice against it, (Kim) appreciated that the drill … shown the DPRK’s will for hardest neutralization and its staggering strength.”
DPRK is short for the Popularity based Individuals’ Republic of Korea, the North’s true name.
