Paras Madaan: Finding a good role in daily soaps can be challenging

Paras Madaan:

TV actor Paras Madaan, who has appeared in shows like Laado 2, Qubool Hai, Nath and others, will appear in the upcoming Pocket Mein Aasmaan. He says, “My character’s name is Raj Shekhar, and I’m playing a very prominent primary role in this show. I’ve just started shooting and enjoy working with the team and the entire cast. The show is scheduled to be telecast by the end of this month.”

Last seen in the show Nath- Rishton Ki Agni Pariksha, the actor feels that getting a good role so quickly is not easy. He elaborates on it, ” It has taken me four months to land another project. There have been times when it has taken longer than that. Finding a good role in daily soaps can be challenging, especially with the current TV industry landscape. Actors often get typecast in specific roles, making it difficult to break into new characters. The focus on youth-oriented shows and reality TV has shifted attention away from traditional daily soaps. The rise of digital platforms like OTT services has changed viewer habits, making it harder for daily soaps to attract and retain talent.”

He adds, “It can be incredibly tough for actors to wait for another show or role, especially when they have financial responsibilities, like running their household. The uncertainty of when the next project will come along can be stressful. However, I believe in constantly working on my craft and being persistent and patient.”
