Smriti Mandhana hits India’s fastest hundred in women’s ODIs, completes 10th century

Smriti Mandhana

Smriti Mandhana broke Harmanpreet Kaur’s record for the fastest hundred by an Indian in women’s one-day international cricket. Smriti smashed her hundred in 70 deliveries against Ireland in the final ODI of a three-match series in Rajkot on Wednesday, January 15. Smriti smashed 135 off 80 balls, smashing seven sixes and 12 boundaries in a dominating knock.

Smriti Mandhana got to her hundred in 70 balls, 17 deliveries faster than the Indian record. Harmanpreet Kaur held the record previously, scoring a hundred in just 87 balls against South Africa last year in Bengaluru. Harmanpreet held the record since 2017 after scoring a 90-ball hundred against Australia in the 2017 ODI World Cup in Derby.
