Dr. V Narayanan Will Now Lead ISRO as the New Chairman

Dr V Narayanan has been appointed as the new chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and Secretary of the Department of Space. He will officially accept the role on January 14, 2025, succeeding the current chairman, S Somanath.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) made the declaration on Tuesday. As per the official announcement, Dr Narayanan will lead the organization for two years or until further orders, whichever comes first.
