At least four passengers were killed, and 15 others sustained injuries when a bus crashed into a lorry on the Chittoor-Thatchur Highway near Gangasagaram in Chittoor district, police said on Friday.

He added that The accident occurred around 11.15 pm on Thursday in Gajulapalli village, Chittoor district.
“Four passengers died on the spot, and 15 others sustained injuries. Of them, four are seriously injured, and 11 persons sustained simple injuries,” Chittoor sub-divisional police officer T. Sainath said.
The lorry collided with the side portion of the passenger bus, according to police reports.
Sainath confirmed that the casualties were transported to various medical facilities, including CMC Vellore, SVIMS, and nearby hospitals. Authorities filed a case under section 106 of BNS.
Police reported that the lorry driver fled from the scene.
