New Year’s Eve 2024: As the clock ticks closer to midnight on December 31, the world prepares to welcome the new year with utmost joy and thrill. Every year, people celebrate the new year at different times due to varying time zones. While we may all share in the excitement of ringing in a new year, the moment arrives at different times, depending on where you are. Here’s how the world will ring in 2025.

The first to enter the new year will be Christmas Island (Kiritimati Island) in the Republic of Kiribati, a small island. A short while later, the Chatham Islands of New Zealand will ring in the new year.

Auckland, Wellington, and Samoa will be the countries that will join the global celebrations.

Next, the Pacific Islands of Fiji will celebrate the arrival of 2025.

Meanwhile, Australia won’t be far behind. Cities like Sydney, Melbourne, and Canberra will light up with fireworks to mark the new beginnings. The celebration will then spread to Australian cities like Adelaide, Broken Hill, and Ceduna.

 

Queensland and Northern Australia ring in the New Year later.

As we travel further, Japan, South Korea, and North Korea will join the festivities with their unique celebrations.

Finally, Western Australia will also welcome the New Year, marking the final step in the island continent’s full ushering in of 2025.

China, the Philippines, and Singapore are next,t where people will light up the streets with joy and fun to welcome 2025.
