Actor Saif Ali Khan will be discharged from the hospital on January 21. He was hospitalised at Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital after being stabbed during a burglary bid at his Bandra house.
Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan will be discharged on Tuesday. Dr Nitin Dange of Lilavati Hospital confirmed this in the morning. According to initial information, discharge papers were filed last night. Saif Ali Khan is expected to be discharged by 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. today.
Saif was stabbed nearly six times by an intruder during a burglary attempt at his Bandra home on Thursday. After the attack, he was taken to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw around 2:30 am where he underwent two surgeries.
An emergency surgery was performed to stop spinal fluid leakage and remove the embedded knife fragment. The hospital later released a photo of a 3-inch-long sharp object, identified as a piece of a knife, that had been lodged in his back.
Earlier, in her statement to the Mumbai Police, Saif’s wife and actor Kareena Kapoor Khan confirmed that the intruder had grown aggressive during the scuffle but did not touch any jewellery left in plain sight. She added that Saif intervened to save the women (house help), who were held hostage and prevented the attacker from reaching her youngest son, Jeh.
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the Telugu Devara, alongside Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
