One of the best white-ball bowlers for India throughout the course of recent years, Yuzvendra Chahal found his direction back into the ODI group in the wake of passing up the Cricket World Cup 2023. Chahal was drafted into India’s crew for the ODI series against South Africa. However Chahal has the two measurements and experience backing his choice, previous India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar was left shocked by the leg-spinner’s consideration in the crew, saying for him, Chahal is even more a ‘T20 bowler’.
“I like it. Again this is responsibility the board, yet I’m energized with the way that Deepak Chahar is back since I like him as a cricketer. Avesh Khan gets another open door,” Manjrekar said on Star Sports show ‘Course of action’.
“I accept Mukesh Kumar is a strong and reliable bowler, he has come. Chahal is an unexpected consideration. I thought Chahal was more your bowler for T20 cricket yet there they have someone like a (Ravi) Bishnoi,” he added.
Manjrekar conceded being satisfied with the expansion of Imperial Challengers Bangalore player Rajat Patidar in India’s crew for the ODI series.
“Rajat Patidar – truly glad to see him fit and chomping at the bit to go. A major advancement for Rinku Singh. He has now turned into a piece of ODI cricket. I saw Sanju Samson playing ODIs against South Africa in India and I got somewhat energized there too, that he is a decent choice.”
“I’m constantly energized when I see India’s subsequent string or cutting edge players. It appears as though it is an exceptionally impressive group however the issue is that South Africa are a considerable group in white-ball cricket and respective series. So it will be a firm test however this group is generally excellent,” he finished up.
