The Indian cricket crew left from Bengaluru on Tuesday night for their visit to South Africa. The Men dressed in Blue, including Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, lead trainer Rahul Dravid, Mohammed Siraj among others left from Kempegowda Global Air terminal, Bengaluru for the visit. The all-design visit through South Africa will launch from December 10 with a three-match T20I series which will happen till December 14. From December 17, the ODI leg of the white-ball series will begin which will close on September 21.
Seniors like captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah will miss the white-ball leg of the all-design series. Suryakumar Yadav, the main T20I player will lead the T20I group while KL Rahul will chief the ODI group. Young people like Rinku Singh, Tilak Varma, Sai Sudarshan and Rajat Patidar have gotten call-ups for the ODI crew.
Senior players will return for the two-match Test series, with the primary Test in Centurion from December 26 onwards and the second Test at Cape Town from January 3 one year from now. This red-ball leg of the series will be the most expected one for Indian fans as they are yet to enlist a Test series win in South Africa.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday reported their crews against India for the multi-design series at home, starting December 10.
Quick bowler Nandre Burger and players David Bedingham and Tristan Stubbs accepted their lady call-ups to South Africa’s Test crew for the India series; wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne has been reviewed.
Aiden Markram will chief the T20I and ODI crews, while the Test crew will be driven by Temba Bavuma.
Bavuma and quick bowler Kagiso Rabada have been refreshed from the white-ball series. Anrich Nortje, who was controlled out of the World Cup because of a lower back pressure crack, is out of the game in all organizations and has no plan for recovery.
Stubbs has been added to the Test crew interestingly, alongside hitter David Bedingham and quick bowler Nandre Burger.
