Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya box office collection Day 7: Shahid Kapoor-Kriti Sanon’s romantic comedy inches towards Rs 50 crore in India

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya box office collection Day 7: Even after witnessing a drop in daily occupancy post Valentine's Day, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon's film stabilised itself at the box office.

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s sci-fi romantic comedy, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, has been performing fairly well in cinema halls since its release last week. According to industry tracking website Sacnilk, the film minted Rs 3.25 crore on Thursday, taking its nett domestic total to Rs 44.60 crore in one week of release. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya experienced a big bump in collections on Valentine’s Day, and has been making the most of zero competition at the box office.

Backed by Maddock Films and helmed by debutant director duo Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film recently passed the Rs 60 crore mark worldwide despite mixed reviews.

The film reported a 10.74 percent overall Hindi occupancy on day 7, with 12.25 percent in Mumbai from 802 shows, and 10 percent in Delhi-NCR from 1071 shows. The Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer, which was enjoying quite a bit of free run at the theatres, will now have to face competition from the three new films set for release soon — Guru Randhawa’s acting debut Kuch Meetha Ho Jaay, also starring Saiee Manjrekar; Vidyut Jammal-starrer Crakk; and Varun Grover’s directorial debut All India Rank.

Both Shahid and Kriti have an impressive line-up this year. Shahid will next be seen donning a cop avatar in Deva, scheduled to release later this year. Kriti, on the other hand, will be back on screens in March with The Crew, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu.
