Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has publicly praised Blinkit’s recent launch of a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram. In a social media post, Goyal stated, “Quick is not just about groceries. Congratulations, @albinder and team, for thinking of societal impact and bringing impact to life with record speed. This is a first in the world.”

Blinkit, a quick-commerce platform acquired by Zomato, announced the launch of its 10-minute ambulance service earlier this week. The service aims to provide rapid medical assistance to Gurugram residents and will expand to other major cities in the coming years.

Blinkit’s 10-minute ambulance service leverages the company’s existing hyperlocal delivery infrastructure to ensure swift medical assistance. The service will be available 24/7, with trained medical professionals and equipped ambulances ready to respond to emergencies within a 10-minute.
Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa announced the 10-minute ambulance service in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter). “Ambulance in 10 minutes.

We are taking our first step towards solving the problem of providing quick and reliable ambulance service in our cities. The first five ambulances will be on the road in Gurugram starting today. As we expand the service to more areas, you will see an option to book a Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulance through the @letsblinkit app.
Some more info:
• Our ambulances have essential life-saving equipment, including oxygen cylinders, an AED (Automated External Defibrillator), a stretcher, a monitor, a suction machine, and essential emergency medicines and injections.

• Each ambulance has a paramedic, an assistant, and a trained driver to ensure the highest quality of service when needed.

• Profit is not our goal. We will operate this service at an affordable cost for customers and invest in solving this critical problem for the long term.

• We are carefully scaling up this service, which is important and new to us. Over the next two years, we aim to expand to all major cities.

Let’s do our bit and always make way for an ambulance. You never know when you may save a life,” Dhindsa said in a post.
