Elon Musk will not donate money to either Donald Trump or Joe Biden in presidential campaigns

Billionaire businessman and Tesla CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday announced that he has no intentions of donating money to either candidate for US President.

“Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President,” Elon Musk said in a post on his social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter).

Musk’s tweet came days after he reportedly met Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump and other potential donors of the party in Palm Beach, Florida. Notably, the former US president lives in Palm Beach at his Mar-a-Lago club.

A New York Times report also claimed that Trump is looking for a major cash infusion for his re-election campaign for the November US presidential election. The report also stated that Musk, in the past election campaigns, had donated evenly between Democrats and Republicans.

Notably, Musk’s latest tweet came soon after Indian-American politician Nikki Haley suspended her presidential campaign following her defeat in 15 states across the US on Super Tuesday.

Haley ending her campaign makes Donald Trump Republican’s sole nominee for the presidential election.

“The time has now come to suspend my campaign. I said I wanted Americans to have their voices heard. I have done that. I have no regrets,” Haley said while announcing her exit from the presidential race.

Haley congratulated her rival and former boss Trump during her announcement ending her presidential campaign but stopped short of endorsing him.
