Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron approached Israel to keep away from heightening, “especially in Lebanon”, following a strike credited to Israel that killed Hamas‘ representative forerunner in Beirut, the Elysee Castle said Tuesday.
Macron, who talked by phone with the Israeli pastor and war bureau part Benny Gantz, said “it is fundamental to stay away from any escalatory mentality, especially in Lebanon” and that France would keep on giving these messages to all players straightforwardly or by implication associated with the area”, the administration said.
