Lok Sabha Results 2024: Welcoming PM Modi for the Third Consecutive Term

The election result 2024 are out with BJP-led NDA winning 292 seats out of 543 seats in the Lok Sabha 2024. BJP alone has secured 240 seats and is ready to make their government for the third consecutive time. Telugu Desam Party and Janata Dal (United) have balanced the NDA win with 16 seats and 12 seats respectively. They pledged to maintain the alliance and confirmed their presence in the alliance’s meeting.

I.N.D.I.A has grabbed 233 seats in the 2024 elections. Congressed won 99 seats, Samajwadi party got 37 seats while Trinamool Congress and DMK maintained 29 and 22 seats.

The opposition alliance, Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) gave a tough competition, especially in UP where Samajwadi Party won 37 seats over 33 seats by BJP while Congress won 6 seats, RLD won 2 seats, and ADAL and ASP got 1 seat each.

Even with suffering a major setback of losing 63 seats from the 2019 Lok Sabha election, NDA is standing strong and BJP is ready to pledge for the third time.

The prominent faces who won the seats in NDA are Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi from Varanasi, Union Minister Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, Nitin Gadkari from Nagpur, Shivraj Chouhan from Vidisha, Arjun Ram Meghwal from Bikaner, Om Birla from Kota, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia from Guna, and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat from Jodhpur.

On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi from Rae Bareli, Supriya Sule (SP) from Baramati, Abhishek Banerjee (TMC) from Diamond Harbour, Charanjit Channi (Congress) from Jalandhar, H.D. Kumaraswamy (JDS) from Mandya, and Dimple Yadav (SP) from Manipur.

However, there are also some known candidates who lost the seats such as Union Minister Arjun Munda from Khunti, Smriti Irani (BJP) from Amethi, Maneka Gandhi (BJP) from Sultanpur, K. Annamalai (BJP) from Coimbatore, Nakul Nath (Congress) from Chhindwara, Adhir Ranjan (Congress) from Baharampur, Bhupesh Baghel (Congress) from Rajnandgaon, Digvijay Singh (Congress) from Rajgarh, Omar Abdullah from Baramullah, and Mehbooba Mufti from Anantnag.

NDA alliance 2024

The NDA alliance has secured 292 seats that majorly consists seats of BJP (240 seats), TDP (16 seats), JD(U) (12 seats), LJP (5 seats), Shiv Sena (Shinde) (7 seats), RLD (2 seats) and JDS (2 seats). The remaining seats are won by other local parties.

In a meeting held by the NDA on 18th July 2023, it was announced that there are 28 political parties under the alliance. Since then, some parties have left or joined the alliance.
