The Indian cricket team will take on England in the third Test of the ongoing five-match Test series in Rajkot starting Thursday. The match is extremely crucial for Rohit Sharma and Co. as they will look to continue their momentum after winning the second Test match and making the series 1-1. However, before the match begins, special Gujarati and Kathiyawadi food arrangements have been made for the cricketers on February 13, according to a report by Aaj Tak. The menu includes traditional food items like Fafda-Jalebi, Khakhra, Gathiya, Thepla, Khman for breakfast, and special Kathiyawadi food like Dahi Tikari, Vagherela Rotlo (Bajra Roti fried with yogurt and garlic), Khichdi Kadhi for dinner.

The report further stated that skipper Rohit Sharma and wicket-keeper batter KL Rahul have been allocated a royal suite at the Sayaji Hotel in Rajkot. Hotel director Urvesh Purohit told AajTak that the arrangements were kept keeping in mind that it will be a welcome change for the Indian cricketers.

Meanwhile, former Australia skipper Ian Chappell feels England under Ben Stokes will give India tough competition in the remainder of the Test series but backed the hosts to win it.

The marquee five-match series is locked at 1-1 after India and England pulled off thrilling victories in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad respectively.

“As the home side India should eventually win a tough series, but it has a real battle on their hands,” Chappell wrote in his column for ‘ESPNCricinfo’.

“England under the aggressive leadership of Stokes are a far cry from the poorly captained Joe Root team that capitulated against spin on their last tour of the country,” he added.
