Bhubaneswar: A very uncommon dark panther has been seen in a timberland in Odisha during the continuous tiger statistics in the express, a senior authority said.
The panther’s pictures were caught in a camera trap introduced in the woodland for the tiger registration, Head Boss Conservator of Timberlands (PCCF), untamed life, Susanta Nanda said.
Mr Nanda shared on X two pictures of the panther yet didn’t uncover the area for the wellbeing of the intriguing wild creature.
“Continuous camera trap tiger statistics in Odisha is hurling some thrilling and unforeseen presence of wild fauna in our state,” Mr Nanda posted on X.
Prior, a dark tiger or pseudo-melanistic tiger was located in Similipal Public Park in Mayurbhanj region.
