At least three people were killed, including the gunman, and four others injured after a mass shooting at a private party in the US state of Arkansas.
The incident took place on Sunday in the city of Jonesboro, about an hour away from the state capital, Little Rock.
Authorities said the party had taken place at an abandoned building in the city.
According to the Jonesboro Police Department, officers responded to the incident at around 5 am on Sunday and found multiple people with gunshot injuries, CNN said in a report.
The police said the victims, a man and a woman, were known to the gunman, adding that the woman’s sister was one of the injured persons in the mass shooting.
The cause of the gunman’s death was not immediately clear.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
So far this year, the US has witnessed at least 73 mass shooting incidents, according to the Gun Violence Archive non-profit organization.
