Individuals In Line To Trade ₹ 2,000 Notes After Last Date Tested At RBI

Bhubaneswar: The Monetary Offense Wing (EOW) of Odisha Police addressed individuals remaining in line to trade ₹ 2000 money notes at the Hold Bank of India counter here to see if they were going about as specialists for other people, an authority said.
The EOW group arrived at the RBI on Wednesday after media reports expressed that certain individuals were locked in to trade ₹ 2,000 cash notes on a compensation premise.

Individuals who trade ₹ 20,000 at the RBI counter, get ₹ 300 as pay, media reports said.

“We came here after media reports said that certain individuals were locked in to get ₹ 2,000 money notes traded in the RBI counter. We confirmed the Aadhaar card of individuals remaining in the line to trade ₹ 2000 cash notes and furthermore got some information about their occupation,” the EOW official said.

One more authority said that numerous in the line were seen holding precisely 10 bits of ₹ 2,000 cash notes.

“Why the majority of individuals in the line have precisely 10 bits of ₹ 2,000 cash notes? There is motivation to uncertainty whether individuals in the line are veritable or connected by some other to get the cash traded for their benefit,” the authority said.
