Jasprit Bumrah’s Wife Sanjana Ganesan Body-Shamed On Valentine’s Day Post. Her Reply Is Fiery

Jasprit Bumrah's wife Sanjana Ganesan was the target of online trolling. But, she gave a befitting reply.

Jasprit Bumrah, after a brief break from cricket, will again get down to action when the third Test against England starts in Rajkot on Thursday. The series is level at 1-1 with three more Tests to go. The first Test was won by the Ben Stokes-led England while the second Test was clinched by Rohit Sharma’s men. Pacer Jasprit Bumrah took nine wickets in the match and played a crucial role in India levelling the series. After the match, like other Indian cricket team players, Jasprit Bumrah had a good family time.

He even posted an image with his wife Sanjana Ganesan, with the caption: “Happiness is here.” Sanjana is a very popular sports anchor. Recently, the couple welcomed their first baby.

However, in a promotional post with a Valentine’s Day connection on Monday, Sanjana Ganesan was body-shamed by an Instagram user. “Bhabhi moti lag rahi hai (You are looking fat),” the user commented.

“School ki science textbook toh yaad hoti nahi hai tumse, bada auraton ke bodies ke baare mein comment kar raho ho. Bhaago yaha se (You can’t even remember school science textbooks, how dare you comment on women’s bodies. Run away),” Sanjana Ganesan gave a stern reply. The reply was praised by all.

Recently, Jasprit Bumrah was praised by South Africa pace great Dale Steyn. “I don’t think there’s any Test bowlers right now who are able to run in and bowl essentially wicket-taking yorkers,” Steyn said.

“To take wickets in Test matches, there are probably a handful of guys who could do that. Trent Boult was one of that, Mitchell Starc maybe. And obviously, Bumrah.”

Reflecting on Bumrah’s effectiveness across conditions, Steyn stressed on his unorthodox but effective bowling style.

“I remember saying ages back that a good yorker bowled in India or South Africa or Australia remains a good yorker because you take the surface out of it, doesn’t matter where you bowled it.

“You take the pitch away and I think that’s one thing that he’s done really well.

“All round he’s a fantastic bowler. And it’s no surprise with his skiddy kind of action that he’s got that. He takes wickets on those docile pitches, so he’s fantastic,” Steyn added.

“Being an Indian player, there’s going to be a lot of workload. There’s a lot of cricket that India plays, they’re one of the highly-sought after teams in the world.

“It seems like India don’t really miss him because the step-in bowlers are up to the standard, and it’s a great credit to the Indian cricket.”
