Miami To Host 2024 Copa America Last As Atlanta Gets Opener

The following year’s 48th version of the Copa America, highlighting 10 South American countries and six North American groups, will begin in Atlanta and end in Miami, coordinators said Monday. South American administering body CONMEBOL said the June 20 opener will be arranged at Mercedes-Benz Arena in Atlanta with the last on July 14 at Hard Rock Arena in Miami Nurseries, Florida. The NFL arenas, the two of which have facilitated the Super Bowl, will be among US settings for the extraordinary release of the occasion, normally held in South America yet to be facilitated in 2024 by the US.

“We expect arenas loaded up with the enthusiasm of the whole American mainland for the initiation and last of a remarkable CONMEBOL Copa America,” CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez said. “We anticipate the best CONMEBOL Copa America ever.”

Meeting all requirements for six CONCACAF spots in the occasion is progressing, with four groups set to be chosen by Tuesday and two more chosen in Walk 2024 play-off matches.

The occasion will act as a check up for the US in front of the 2026 World Cup, which the Americans will co-have with Mexico and Canada.
