Wenheng Zhao, 26, and one more US mariner, Jinchao Wei, were captured in August on doubt of spying for China.
Wenheng Zhao conceded in a government court in California in October to accuses of contriving of an unfamiliar knowledge official and taking kickbacks.
He was condemned on Monday to 27 months in jail and a $5,500 fine.
As indicated by US authorities, Wenheng Zhao, who was positioned at a maritime base north of Los Angeles, got almost $15,000 from the Chinese insight official between August 2021 and May 2023.
