Vaibhav Taneja, a Delhi University Alumni, Promoted to CFO at Tesla
Elon Musk-led electric vehicle and solar energy company Tesla (TSLA) announced on Monday that its accounting head Vaibhav Taneja will serve as CFO after taking over for Zachary Kirkhorn, who is retiring after 13 years at the company, though he will stay until December to help in an easier transition, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Taneja, 45, joined Tesla after its acquisition of SolarCity, where he held positions in finance and accounting. Since February 2017, he has served as assistant corporate controller. From 1999 to 2016, Taneja worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers – both in India and the United States, according to Tesla’s SEC filing.
