Video: KKR Star Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s Candid Chat With Harsha Bhogle Is Pure Innocence

Young KKR star Angkrish Raghuvanshi floored everyone with his innocence during the mid-innings chat with Harsha Bhogle after scoring a quick-fire half-century against Delhi Capitals.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) unearthed another gem in the form of Angkrish Raghuvanshi in the 2024 campaign as Kolkata Knight Riders hammered Delhi Capitals by 106 runs on Wednesday. The 18-year-old batter played a 54-run knock from 27 balls at a strike rate of 200. He smashed 5 fours and 3 sixes. While Raghuvanshi’s innings was full of boundaries, it was his chat with commentator Harsha Bhogle during the mid-innings break that entertained fans too.

With an innocent smile on his face, Raghuvanshi began the talk by expressing how excited he was to be speaking to Harsha, who also responded saying it was exciting for him to watch the young KKR star bat.

“I just wanted to watch the ball and react. I had worked in the nets for the last few weeks, just had fun watching Sunil play. Having watched the SRH match, nothing’s a winning score, we’ll have to bowl well. Bowl in the right channels and force them into mistakes,” Raghuvanshi said after the game. But, the conversation wasn’t as plain and simple as the young batter found himself in the spotlight after a fiery half-century.

Raghuvanshi was also sent by the KKR management to speak to the media in the post-match press conference. There, he said that it was “fun” to play the blistering knock against Delhi Capitals.

He added that the Kolkata-based franchise bagged two points against Delhi Capitals, and that’s what matters.

“It was fun. Came on to the bat pretty nicely… It’s nice to get into the tournament with a fifty. But more importantly, three wins in three games. The team is thinking about the next game. It’s not personal it’s just how we can win games for our team. We got the two points, that’s all that matters,” Raghuvanshi said at the post-match press conference.

Summarizing the match, KKR’s target of 273 turned out to be too much for DC as they gave in to pressure and ended up suffering a 106-run defeat.

The pace duo of Mitchell Starc and Vaibhav Arora bagged two wickets each to reduce DC to 33/4 in the powerplay.

These early blows derailed DC’s approach to chasing down the massive total which got more challenging with each delivery.
