Yaseen Valli, Jean Du Plessis Make Fifties As South Africa ‘A’ Oversee Draw Against India ‘A’

Unbeaten fifties from opener Yaseen Valli and Jean du Plessis helped South Africa ‘A’ procure a draw against India ‘A’ on the fourth and last day of the first ‘Informal Test’ in Potchefstroom on Thursday. South Africa ‘A’ made 152 for 2 of every 42 overs in their second innings before both the sides consented to shake hands. Prior, India ‘A’ completed their most memorable innings at 417 hard and fast. The home side were in a touch of trouble when they were decreased to 48 for 2 in the twelfth over as opener Cameron Dignitary Shekleton and one down hitter Rubin Herman got back to the hovel without contributing a lot.

Be that as it may, SA tracked down their battle through Valli (72 not out, 137 balls, 8×4) and Du Plessis (50 not out, 82 balls, 5×4) as they refuted the other 30 overs absent a lot of quarrel.

They played easily against Indian pacers, particularly Prasidh Krishna who had taken a fifer in the principal innings, including a full go-around.

Prior in the day, India continued their most memorable innings from 377 for six with Shardul Thakur batting on 70.

However, he could add just six additional rushes to his short-term score, prior to giving a catch to Valli off pacer Evan Jones.

Saurabh Kumar made 22 to take India past the 400-run mark as the guests finished their most memorable innings at 417 all out for an innings lead of 98 runs.

For South Africa, Jones took four wickets while individual pacer Siya Plaatjie snatched three.

The second informal Test will start at Benoni on December 26.
