Kerala Woodland Office Starts Moves toward Shoot And Kill ‘Man-Eating’ Tiger

Kottayam, Kerala: Kerala Woodland Pastor AK Saseendran today said the tiger liable for killing a man in Wayanad a couple of days prior has been distinguished as a 13-year-old male tiger (WWL 45), recorded in the backwoods division’s data set.
He said advances have been started to shoot and kill the creature, which has been delegated an apex predator.

The episode included the disclosure of Vakeri occupant Prajeesh’s half-eaten body close to a woods region in Kalpetta, Wayanad, on December 9.

He is thought to have been killed by the tiger while gathering grass for his steers.

Neighborhood occupants claimed the tiger was an apex predator, inciting requests for the specialists to firearm down the huge feline.

Saseendran said the Central Untamed life Superintendent has given a request to shoot the tiger, and the creature is under extreme observation with 25 cameras and two enclosures arranged for the activity.

The clergyman said there are five watch groups, alongside shooters and specialists nearby, and encouraged general society to help out the actions carried out by authorities.

His assertion follows the Kerala High Court’s excusal of a supplication testing the public authority request to kill the tiger on the off chance that it can’t be caught or tranquilised.

Saseendran invited the high court judgment, which noticed that the request appeared to be petitioned for exposure instead of public interest and forced an expense of ₹ 25,000 on the solicitor association, Creatures and Nature Morals People group (ANEC).
