Indian Imprisoned In Singapore For Wild Driving, Causing Demise: Report
Singapore: A 40-year-old Indian public in Singapore has been condemned to 10 months in prison for wildly driving a truck and causing the demise of an old lady, a media report said on Thursday.
Sivalingam Suresh on Wednesday confessed to one charge of driving a truck without due care and consideration and hitting a 79-year-old Chinese-beginning lady who was strolling across a zebra crossing in Singapore in February this year, The Waterways Times paper revealed.
He thoughtlessly drove the vehicle and hit the lady following which she experienced a head injury and passed on around the same time, the court was educated.
Following the condemning, Suresh, who has a past filled with wayward driving, will likewise be precluded from holding or getting all classes of driving licenses for a considerable length of time after his delivery.
Representative Public Examiner Benedict Teong said Suresh neglected to see the lady as he moved toward a zebra crossing close by Ngee Ann Elementary School, slamming into her.

DPP Teong requested that the court sentence Suresh to 10 to 11 months in prison and force a driving boycott of eight years.

For causing demise by driving a vehicle without due care and consideration, Suresh might have been imprisoned for as long as three years and fined up to 10,000 Singapore dollars.
